Al-Quds bedeutet Jerusalem und ist ein Gedicht des bekannten Dichters Nizar Qabbani. Qabbanis Gedichte sind stark von Schicksalsschlägen seines Lebens geprägt und nicht selten sozialkritisch. Das nachfolgende Gedicht über die schönste Stadt der Welt erinnert sehr stark an die Klagelieder des Propheten Jeremia.
